Lost Boys & Fairies is a three-part BBC One drama about a gay couple in Cardiff navigating the adoption process while confronting past trauma. It follows Andy and Gabriel and depicts a joyous and emotional musical tale of their journey, blending social-realist adoption with cabaret-style musical sequences.
As the pair progress with their social worker, Gabriel’s unsolved history threatens their plans and their relationship with prospective son, Jake. From panel preparation, matching decisions and introductions, this drama highlights the tensions, biases and emotional labour of becoming parents.
