Welcome to Adopt London
Adopt London is a Regional Adoption Agency. We believe that every child deserves a loving and secure place to call home. We are here to support your adoption journey, to offer advice, assistance and signposting to anyone affected by adoption.
About Adopt London
Adopt London is made up of four Regional Adoption Agencies, working with local authority partners across London to provide joined-up adoption services so more children can find secure, stable family homes and to support everyone connected to adoption across the capital.
Together, we bring adoption professionals from across London into one connected service: social workers in recruitment, assessment, family finding and adoption support, sharing expertise at every stage. We work closely with local support services, and alongside those with adoption experience, to help shape the services and support families tell us they want and need.
Adoption can be complex and life-changing, not just for adoptive families but for adopted people and birth families too. That is why our support is varied depending on your experience and can include information, guidance, support, advice or signposting. Whoever you are, we are here for you and always aim to offer clear information and practical help.

Conversations with Tom
Tom and his husband Dan adopted their son about 2 years ago. Family life is busy and has its challenges, but it is also everything they hoped it would be. They talked to us about the assessment process, matching with their son, and how they are all looking forward to welcoming another adopted child into their home, and adjusting to life as a family of four.

Intercountry and transracial adoption
We spoke to Dominic about his experience of being adopted by a white British couple and brought to the UK as a baby from Thailand. Dominic is a strong advocate for adoption; he wears his adoption ‘like a badge of honour’ and hopes that talking about it will give other children the opportunities and aspirations that they deserve.
