The Black Adoption Project – creating better futures for Black adopted children in London

Safer Internet Day 2023

7th February 2023 News

Whilst being online can offer inspiring learning and a fun environment, this Safer Internet Day, we wanted to highlight some of the advantages of starting and maintaining conversations with your child about their internet use.

Safer Internet Day 2023 is on 7 February 2023, with celebrations and learning based around the theme ‘Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online’.

Keeping all our children and young people safe online is always a priority. For adopted children, the internet, and social media in particular, can be a place to satisfy their curiosity around birth family members. With an open dialogue, you can support your child’s experience online.

Organisers of Safer Internet Day, the UK Safer Internet Centre want to make the internet a great and safe place for young people to be. As a parent we encourage you to be informed. Click the links to find out how …
