David Johnston MP, the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing visits Adopt London West

Adopt London West received a visit from David Johnston MP, the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing on Friday 20 October 2023.

Debbie Gabriel, Head of Service for Adopt London West explained  “Adopt London West were delighted to welcome Children’s Minister David Johnston for tea and cakes last Friday as part of National Adoption Week. The Minister met families who are at different stages of their adoption journey, some with small children placed who have not yet been formally adopted and some where the children and young people have been living with their families for several years. The Minister was really interested and engaged in learning more about adoption experiences directly from the families. He also gave some helpful careers advice to one of the young people who has a keen interest in politics!”
