Black Adoption Project’s in person Meet The Adopters

17th October 2026
10:30 am — 1:00 pm
Stratford Hub, 259 High Street, Stratford, London E15 2LS

Join us for an inspirational morning celebrating family, community and how you can start or build your family through adoption.

Adopters from London’s Black community will share their personal journeys, their joys and challenges and the life-changing impact of adoption. The event will be held at the Stratford Hub, 259 High Street, London, E15 2LS. Join us from 10.30am ready for the session to start at 11am.

Whether you have been thinking about adoption for years or you’ve simply wondered if it could be right for you, join us for this unique Black Adoption Project event.

You’ll meet other Black, mixed Black heritage and dual-heritage couples who, like you, are interested in adopting a child or sibling group, and you can ask questions to help you explore your next steps.

Our panel of adoptive parents will talk about –

  • the importance of culture, identity and belonging
  • the strategies they used to help their child thrive and
  • the support available for new adopters accessed through the Black Adoption Project.

Representation matters. Community matters. Family matters. Together, we can change the conversation around adoption and ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up feeling loved, valued and proud of their heritage.

Please complete the Eventbrite registration form and we’ll be in touch.
