Supporting Proud 2b Parents’ LGBT+ Parents & Carers Day

19th September 2025 News

Adopt London is proud of the many LGBTQIA adoptive parents and people who come forward to adopt and we’re happy to support the work of the inclusive charity organisation Proud 2b Parents as they celebrate and mark this important day – Friday 19 September.

LGBT+ Parents & Carers Day aims to bridge the gap by shedding light on the narratives, struggles, joys, and achievements of this community. This day is more than a celebration; it’s a call to action for increased awareness, representation, visibility, and acknowledgement.

This year’s theme, Visibility, focuses on bringing this group of parents and carers into the spotlight, with visibility being the key to breaking down the barriers that exist for LGBTQAI parents and carers. By making their experiences known, we can all inspire change and inclusivity.

Visibility isn’t just about being seen — it’s about being recognised, understood, and supported in all aspects of life.
