Confirmation received that the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund will be continuing for the financial year April 2025 – March 2026.   

The Children’s Minister made a statement in the Commons this afternoon (01/04/25) and we are now able to confirm that the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund will be continuing for the financial year April 2025 – March 2026.   We are pleased that this has been announced however exact details are yet to be shared to ensure that it reaches as many children and families as possible.   All RAA’s including ours are now waiting to be advised when we can submit applications to the Fund.

We appreciate that this has been a challenging period, and are grateful for your ongoing understanding. We are aware that the DfE recognise the urgency of opening applications for 2025-26 and know that they are working hard to initiate this and will share information with RAA’s as soon as they can.

We will update this information as soon as we have permission to apply to the fund.
